The Ontario Real Estate Board has set specific safety parameters for all real estate teams. Whether we are helping you sell or buy, we want your real estate adventure to be as stress-free as possible. Here are some of the ways our team is helping our clients safely sell their homes.
Meet our Team
During our first meeting, we make sure that we social distance (including masks) while we discuss what your needs are to sell your home. We will also do a walk-through and provide you with a presentation on how we can best stage and sell your home.
Staging
Staging is an important element of selling your home. We want your home to look its best. We provide the following:
- Free home staging
- Free packing kit to get you started to store your valuables
- Warehouse of staging furniture and accessories
- A qualified professional painter to touch up areas of your home and may include a feature wall
- Professional cleaner – after we have staged your home, we offer a cleaner to sanitize your home after we finish staging
- We also offer you a $300 voucher to stay overnight at a hotel during the staging process
Viewings
Many sellers worry about people wandering through their homes during the selling process. Here are the following guidelines we have to ensure that your viewing and also your home is secure.
- Declaration before viewing that all are symptom-free and have not been around anyone with the virus
- 2 adults and one realtor allowed (no children are allowed at this time)
- No overlap of appointments
- Viewings are for 15 to 30 minutes
- Masks and sanitizer for agent and buyers
- Agent is the only one to touch doorknobs or cupboards (including wipes to sanitize touched areas)
Our Team understands your concerns and your needs. We also are able to have all paperwork done virtually (including offers and other real estate documents).
Life goes on and people still need to buy or sell homes. The rules may have changed lately to accommodate everyone’s safety but there is a light at the end of the tunnel where we will be looking at more normal times in the near future.
