Since the 1970s what started on HGTV was the reality of how your home could look if it was staged. Many people thought these looks were only available to those who had multi-million-dollar homes. Then the real estate industry changed and decided that everyone could have that look.
Our Team was one of the few pioneers in the real estate industry to create this look in your homes. We began creating this look of selling and staging your home so it could look amazing. Starting out with a few pieces of furniture, artwork, and décor items to now where we have our staging items stored in a warehouse.
We know when we walk through the doors what we need to do from furniture placement to painting and creating a personal look for your home. We could only create this look because of the amazing Team we have had over the years, including a professional photographer to the many business professionals that we needed along the way.
We have decided that we were able to learn about our real estate families over the years, but we thought it is about time that we told you a little about ourselves. We all have different skillsets and qualifications to make the smooth transition of our business operation grow to where we are now.
We have asked our Team some questions about themselves and here are their responses:
According to Anne…
- Why I made my career in real estate… I was renovating homes and working with other realtors to buy and sell homes and realized that it is not always clear what is needed to get a home sold not just listed. So, I decided to create a way to make the process more transparent for the seller and bring a higher level of professionalism back to the industry. So, I created our 9 steps.
- Staging spaces makes me feel… creative. Elevating a home can be fun, and I know it’s the right thing to do to get top dollar.
- I dream of travel… in Europe.
- My favourite hobby is… working out and hanging out relaxing.
- My favourite part of my job is… working with seller clients and negotiating offers.
- My favourite staging colours and why… Newburg Green. It’s stunning. And provides real drama in a photo.
- My favourite piece of advice is… be realistic when pricing your home. The market will arrive if the demand is there. “Testing” the market with an unrealistic price will only lead to a stale listing and a price reduction. Even in a seller’s market.
According to Erica…
- Why I made my career in real estate… I was always interested in real estate, so after college, I just got my licence
- Staging spaces makes me feel… either stressed, overwhelmed, or inspired… depending on the property.
- I dream of… moving to BC and living with a mountain view
- My favourite hobby is… hiking with and spending time with my Australian Shepherd Bruschi; paddleboarding and softball; watching NFL football.
- My favourite part of my job is… touring gorgeous homes and properties; discovering new neighbourhoods in Ottawa and surrounding communities, and helping people
- My favourite staging colours and why… Anything fun that makes the room looks its best, depends on the space!
- My favourite piece of advice… You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take; look at as many homes as you need to, to make the right decision; LISTEN to your Realtor
According to Emily the stager…
- Why I made my career in real estate staging… I love meeting new people and transforming a home into a space that is inviting and will attract the perfect buyer.
- Staging spaces make me feel… creative and resourceful.
- My favourite hobby is… painting. I have always loved being able to create and use my artistic abilities.
- My favourite staging colours and why… blue and green. I love using earth tones too as they make spaces feel comfortable, calm, and grounded.
- My favourite piece of advice… do what you love. Create an environment and life that makes you happy and you will get to a place in life where you feel complete.
