When you think of home staging, you may not think about artwork. Artwork can make such a difference to a room that we always add a few pieces to our staged homes. When you look at the colour scheme of a room, you want this artwork to enhance the whole appearance. You should always have artwork that complements the paint colour, furniture, and other items. You want to make sure it is appealing to the eye.
Plants
Adding a few plants can make your home bring nature indoors. Therefore, we have used plants in the overall décor of our staging process. They can bring more life to your space, whether they are artificial or not, they add a little something to each room.
We often use artificial plants, grasses, etc. as they are easy to move around, can be reused and we don’t have to worry about people or pets with allergies.
Accent chairs
There is nothing more pleasing than adding a beautiful chair as an accent piece. They make a statement in a room, and they change up the look of your living space. Sometimes accent pieces can be a pop of colour in a more neutral décor. You can easily play with the placement of accent chairs as they are easy to move around, and you can try different patterns to jazz up the look.
Rugs
Let’s face it, hardwood floors can be beautiful, but they can also make a room look very bare. That is where the use of rugs can just warm up the area. They can fill up a room and make it look more polished and cozier at the same time. We choose patterns that are not too busy. You can use different patterns if they coordinate with the room and your furniture.
Accent pillows
We have a wide array of accent pillows that will be suitable for any homes that we stage. Accent pillows add personality and colour to chairs, sofas, and your outdoor furniture.
We always use pillows of different sizes, shapes, colours, and textures. The rule of thumb is to use between 3 to 5 pillows on a sofa. This depends also on the size of the sofa and the size of the pillows. While you can use many pillows on a bed in the master bedroom, we don’t use too many in the living room area. Too many pillows can be overpowering.
