During the past few months, nothing has been more important to our Anne Winch Real Estate Team than making sure your home is safe between showings. We have put together some pointers that can make sure that we can sell your home and also know that you will be safe.
Keep personal items stored from view
- If you have any valuables, store them away
- Remove any prescription or other medications from all rooms in your home, not only in your medicine cabinet
- Keep your banking, investment information, and credit card information in a safe place
- Remove any personal pictures
- Remove information on children’s names in bedrooms or sports schedules, or school information from view
Keeping your home safe
- One Team member will be with any prospective clients throughout the tour
- Lock all doors so only the main door provides access
- Our Team will also limit the number of people at each showing
- Have hand sanitizer available when you enter
- Make sure the lights are on throughout your home during the showing
- Open cupboards and interior doors to gain contactless access; make sure blinds are up to see the outside
What to do after a showing
- Disinfect doorknobs, light switches, cabinet doors, and appliances with disinfectant wipes
- Replace any towels in the kitchen or bathroom
- Give counters in the kitchen and bathroom a sanitized wipe
During this time, we also strive to do as much as possible through social media before any showings are booked. This way it gives buyers a chance to look at your home before we actually go into your home.
Most of our paperwork is now done virtually to avoid the passing of paperwork back and forth when you receive an offer. Talk to us about how you feel most comfortable receiving your offers and paperwork and we will make it work for you.
