Whether you are buying or selling your home you will need help along the way. We don’t always think about having a team to help us, but it is really the only way that you can be prepared. Online resources can be helpful but sometimes you need to talk things over with the experts.

Money Talks!

When you begin your real estate journey, you must start with the financials. It is good to have a clear view of what you can afford and how this will affect your overall financial picture. Start by clarifying what your needs are. Do you want a big home, or would you prefer one that is less expensive? Do you want to travel, start a business, or even buy a car in the future? All this comes into play when you decide to buy real estate. Take a minute to write out some goals and plans. Next, find a mortgage broker or financial planner to help you bring your goals to fruition. A mortgage broker can suggest ways to fund your next home, round of renovations, and improve cash flow.

Find your next home!

One of the best pieces of advice for buyers or sellers is always to get a credible real estate company. Our Anne Winch Real Estate Team can help you with any questions you may have on selling or purchasing a home. Our name speaks for itself as we have had many years of experience in the real estate business, and we know our market and can help you find the best way to sell your home.

It is good to interview a few agents to make sure they have the right personality fit. If an agent does not do personal interviews, it is time to look elsewhere. Be clear and honest about what your requirements are and that they are comfortable meeting your needs.

Ask your potential real estate agent:

  • What hours are they available for showings?
  • What hours are they available to answer questions?
  • Their preferred methods of communication?
  • Will you be working directly with them or mostly with a staff member or assistant?

We hope these questions have made you think about what you need to do when you hire a competent real estate firm. Our Anne Winch Real Estate Team would be happy to answer any questions you have about buying, selling, or staging your home.

Legal advice

Connect with a lawyer early in the process of buying or selling your home. You will be able to find out what is needed, all closing costs and timelines for the exchange of funds. You need a lawyer to do searches on the property, title searches etc. to make sure that you will indeed own this home. Your lawyer will always act in your best interests.

Other team members

You may want to enlist other people on your real estate journey. For example, you may want to enlist a house inspector.

What a home inspection does

  • Protects your financial risk.
  • Can uncover potential problems such as old wiring, unsafe heating, or structural issues in the home.
  • Gives you peace of mind.
  • If there are major issues in the home, you can still back out of the contract.
  • Some lenders will not give a mortgage without a home inspection.

Our Team is here to help make your real estate process run as smoothly as possible. Give us a call, text or email and see how we do things differently than other real estate firms. We want to be part of your dream team!
